“A” for America, Amazonia and Bees
“Latin America” is a name with a colonial past that does not reflect the diversity of this huge continent. It envolves revisiting in quick lines the history of the formation of nation-states and the recent consequences of national-developmentalism. Secondly, presenting some biopolitical initiatives in the tangle of a biozone shared by several Latin American nations. Finally, following the “stingless bees” from the forest to the city and, at the end of the road, thanks to their pollination and swarming, perceiving the contours of an Amazonian ZAD in formation.
