Les mouvements réactionnaires qui prospèrent aujourd’hui, partout dans le monde, constituent-ils une critique de la finance ? Ou bien représentent-ils plutôt une radicalisation de l’imagination financière ? S’exprimant souvent au travers d’une anxiété paranoïaque, le rapport à la valeur y est souvent central. Un examen de quelques variantes conspirationnistes (par exemple au sein du « mouvement des citoyens souverains ») permet d’y déceler les tensions que provoque une vision proprement financière des choses.
Finance, Paranoia, and the Radicalization of Value
Is today’s reactionary rage a critique of finance? Or does it rather represent a radicalization of financial imagination? Often expressing itself through paranoid anxiety, the relation to value is crucial there. An examination of some varieties of conspiratorial thinking (for example within the “sovereign citizen movement”) allows for an identification of the tensions contained in a properly financial interpretation of things.
