De l’alternative historique à l’altérité ontologique
Dans l’élaboration de sa théorie de la décision, Toni Negri donne à Spinoza un rôle constituant. Cependant l’alternative historique ouverte au XVIIe siècle doit être relue selon les exigences du passage à la postmodernité. Negri s’engage alors dans une pensée qui, par la dissolution de la nécessité, brise l’hégémonie de la substance et du transcendantal en ouvrant sur l’inventivité de la puissance commune. L’antimodernité de Negri s’affirme ainsi, au-delà de Spinoza, dans l’affirmation d’une figure opératoire nouvelle du spinozisme.

From Historical Alternative to Ontological Alterity
Antonio Negri assigns Spinoza a constitutive role in elaborating his theory of decision. Yet the historical alternative opened in the seventeenth century must be reread through the demands of the passage to postmodernity. Negri thus engages in a mode of thought that, by dissolving necessity, breaks the hegemony of substance and the transcendental, opening onto the inventiveness of common power. Negri’s antimodernity thereby asserts itself—beyond Spinoza—in the affirmation of a new operative figure of Spinozism.
